Black Bear Builders is seeking skilled and motivated carpenters to join our team in Banff, Alberta. As part of our growing company, you will play a crucial role in various residential and commercial construction projects, delivering high-quality craftsmanship in all aspects of carpentry.

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, andsketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements.
• Prepare layouts inconformance with building codes, using measuring tools.
• Cut, shape, and assemble materialssuch as wood, steel, and other materials as required.
• Build foundations, install floor beams,lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
• Fit and install trim items such as doors,stairs, moldings, and hardware.
• Repair, maintain, and renovate wood structures and fixturesas necessary.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations at all times.

• Proven experience in carpentry, with a minimum of 2-3 years in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of building materials and construction methods.
• Ability to work from detailed instructions and plans.
• Good physical stamina to handle demanding tasks in varied weather conditions.
• Proficient in the use of hand and power tools relevant to carpentry.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver’s license preferred.
• Familiarity with workplace safety protocols is essential.
